Has anyone seen Senator Reid and my Great Aunt Peggy in the same room at the same time??

March Madness!

I just survived the flu and a visit with some of my family. What fun (the family, not the flu). I have three knitting projects in process, and am planning the fourth. The alpaca neck warmer is just mindless fun (yo, sl1, K2, psso2); the mittens are intricate madness (size 1 needles, complex norwegian pattern); and, as always, the GAAA. I started a new square - this will be the fourth of 30 to be completed. I guess it all starts somewhere. This one is fun; it's knit in the round, even though is comes out a square. Also, it starts from the outside and knits in, so the square goes faster and faster! We'll see.

My project-in-my-head is similar to the GAAA, but uses different Fair Isle-type patterns as the blocks. My stumbling point is getting the blosk all the same size. My little sister suggested NOT making the all the same size, and instead fit them together after they are all done. Also, knit filler and banding to unify them. This is VERY intriguing! I'll have to vegetate on it.
